And its a wrap...toodles 2018.

I’ve been very absent from blogging in past months  and really want to expand my blog into doing a lot more travel related posts. I also was thinking about weekly content on my Instagram and blog posts but then I keep thinking and never do L

So this year was really really exciting !! I would say one of the best years I’ve had till date. Anyway I am quite a enthu cutlet so smallest of things make me REAL happy!!

I am going to post the joy month wise so here it goes

Jan – Okay so jan was pretty nerve wrecking as I had applied for a short course at Harvard and I was so damn nervous cause I have no major background to be a part of this prestigious IVY league. Anyway too many sleepless nights but ya I dealt with it #thanksnetflix
A friend of mine from UK came down so had a fun time catching up on old times. Went to a couple of nice restaurants me and mister. Attended legendary and iconic makeup artists Micky Contractors MAC event. Travelled to Ahmedabad to meet my cuddly nephew and travelled around with my sister. Sisters are the best, so grateful to have one. I mean like what does one do without a sister?

Feb- Oh Feb was a travel month, again nervous because wasn’t sure I would get through.
Anyway I travelled to Bulgaria for Brahmastra shoot. It was amazing I never imagined I would travel to BG in my life. Cute country, spent my valentine day with Al-pachino Jwas good fun. Freezing AF. -10 or something, like literally death. However I always make merry even when its not so merry. Had a good time. Returned nervous about Harvard. Oh then finally the email hot my inbox and YAAAYYZAAAA!! I booked my tickets and prepped for the trip.

March – I travelled to Boston on the 1st of March I think, yes apparently there was snow storm and floghts were getting cancelled and it was quite hectic. Anyway I was nervous cause I would be amongst these supremely intelligent bunch of peeps and I wanted to get there before time so I could prep a bit. 5th March onwards my classes commenced and it was so amazing, I enjoy learning new subjects, meeting newer people, different approaches etc. It was very hectic for me as I am not used to these heavy content lectures and projects. But with help of people around me I managed well. Made a few good friends over a period of time. We would go out after class and have a good time. Met people from places I would never image – Russia, Columbia and many more. Over the long weekend I travelled to NYC my favorite city after Mumbai. Met friends had a really good time. Also snow storms and bad weather was all a part of the trip but all turned out to be an experience and an amazing one!!

April- Mango season I was super excited about. Ya just the mangoes. Also Raazi film promotions. Ya so gearing up for a film release is something I really enjoy. Lot of adrenaline rush, meeting fans. Everytime is a different experience. Also gully boy wrap party. One of the most efficient crews Ive worked with!! What a team!! Enjoyed very much. Also been a Bombay girl since birth, had never been to the Asiatic from the inside. My friend rhea invited to one of her events there. What a beautiful place.

May – oh May day! Yes one 1st may ie labor day in Maharastra got an opportunity to go for Shramdaan where Alia and Aamir Khan participated in a Shramdaan activity in Latur. We travelled by charter very early in the morning. Its avery strenuous process of how draught prone areas work day in and day out to dig out water from the ground. Eye opening experience. Travelled back the same day.
Back to Raazi promotions, good fun, released on 11th May 2018. It was a super hit.

Went to a boy zone concert. Had dinner with rhea at a new place in town called Bombay Vintage.

June – me and my friends went to this super cute guest house in the middle of no network, jungle near karjat. Was a fun two day holiday. Tried some fun things and games J
Oh then was busy organising a colleagues and work husbands bachelorette. That was a really good time. I mean that was a night to remember. A colleague took us for Veer Di Weddings special screening with the office gang and it was so much fun. Oh then came the friend’s wedding, had a blast. Danced made merry, had a really really good time!!

July – whoa whoa whoa! Holiday time!! Mister H and me travelled to Germany, Amsterdam and Czech Republic for  fun time. It was a 15 day itinerary we didn’t book anything in advance just went with the flow. Met my friend Arelene in Bonn she came to berlin also to chill with us. So what all we saw. Frankfurt, Prague, Cesky Krumlov, Berlin, Dusseldorf, Bonn, Amsterdam.

August – this was a busy month, lots of shoots and fun events, but don’t remember too much of Aug.

September – Went for a play with friends. Highlight was my nephew’s from UK and USA were coming down. We had a great time. They are just so cute. We enjoy hanging out together

October – Birthday month, yaaay, mister threw me a birthday surprise at Willingdon. It was amazing. Super planning no mess up. He’s so amazing!! Couldn’t have asked for a better birthday and mister J
Workwise was hectic – shoot + koffee with karan. Went to a design show at NSCI. Very interesting, new designs, products lot of new stuff. Met my grandfather and took some cool vidoes and photos just for my sake. Memories.

November – travelled to Kolkata for IIFI along with the Bhatt family. So grateful to be a part of their team. Best people to work with. Literally I am so lucky. Also met the narcos team along with Netflix. Great event. Another travel plan with rhea to Dubai. It was a fun trip, met a lot of fun people, catch up with old friends. All in all a great month.

December – Work filled, enjoy my work so no complains. Travelled to Hyderabad for shoot. Good weather great company.

Welcome to the last month of 2018! Since the end of the amazing event-wise year, 2018 is nearing an end,
With Jan already in the rear-view mirror, taking a look at the month’s highlights from 2018. I am just so grateful about my family, my friends, the people I work with. I really couldn’t have asked for a better year.
In 2019, I’m committed to creating more depth (not as much breadth) in my knowledge and skills as a career..I will be the possibilities of patience, introspection, empathy and focus.

Things I learnt this year
Always strive for more
Happiness is a choice. Never settle
Don’t judge, Learn the facts
Loyalty is everything. Keep your circle tight
Watch your back. Not everyone is your ‘friend’
You can NEVER take too many photos
Don’t forget to say thank you. Be grateful
No regrets just lessons learned
Things take time. It’s not a race

And so some gyan on my final lesson and one I believe is one of the most important ones. Back in the hay day, you had to be married with kids by 25/26 otherwise you were on the shelf. Today it couldn’t be further from it. Life is not a race and to anyone out there unsure of their situation or thinking about where their life is going, DO NOT WORRY. Things take time. The beauty of life is there are no rules. Our generation are lovers of the unknown. They don’t care as much about buying a house and more about experiencing everything life has to offer. Do I blame them? NO WAY! Life is for living. If you want to go move abroad at 30, absolutely no harm. If you want to work in Jharkhand as a yoga instructor at 38, still no harm. Life is what you make it. Don’t judge yourself based on your peers or other people for that matter. You do you always. Everything will happen for you when it’s supposed to happen. So take each day as it comes and I just realized I can get so preachy 😉

I actually really enjoyed writing this one. It got me thinking a lot. I always write as if I’m chatting to a friend as that’s how I find it easiest to write. I don’t use big words or sometimes the ‘correct language’ but I use what suits me. I’d love to know your feedback & thoughts on the post guys. I may be 28 ;)  but I do feel like I’ve learned a lot in my time here. I think my lessons are very relatable and ones that so many of you will go through also. Okay then bye HAPPY NEW YEAR PEEPS!! HOPE YOU GUYS ENJOYED THIS ONE ;)
