March 13, 2018
Okay so an unusual day today. Not in Mumbai. I am in Boston.
Yes Boston. Oh where Harvard University is? Yes exactly. What are you doing in
Boston? Ahhh shoot? Okay must for work?
Areee NO. I am here for a course at the Harvard Extention
School. What? Kya? Meaning?
Hahaha YES I AM AT HARVARD.
13th March 2018 : Worst snow storm to hit Boston
today. Boston to remain closed. I sulked. Was sitting in my hotel room sulking
for a bit. Read, watched TV then I got really bored. What do I do? Yaay step
out! But are you crazy no one steps out today. Boston is closed. It’s a f’in
storm.
I wrap myself in 5 layers and leave. Go to the closest bus
stop, hop on to the first bus that arrives and go to the last stop. Enjoyed the
bus train, it’s snowing heavily outside, buses are going at snails speed. I am
really enjoying this. I can take pictures non shaky videos. Aaahh bliss.
Disembark the bus at the last stop. Walked around, it was really cold. That’s fine.
I head to the T- station and got in to the train to Copley Square which is in
Downtown Boston. Yaaaass. I got off the train station. Climbed up the stairs. And
I was like OMG OMG , snow snow snow over the beautiful historic buildings. Look unreally beautiful. I realised I shouldn’t
have missed this for any STORM!!. Here goes the pictures.
I can’t describe many things I feel. OR sometimes I do and
sometimes I don’t. Only what I could see I could believe. I literally felt I was
in some heaven – where fairies live. That could be my imagination but yes that’s
how I felt. I forgot how cold it was , I forgot it was a storm. I just wanted
to press the pause button and car comes gushing down splashing the muck…hahah
the fairies returned to Timbuktu and I ran to the closest shelter. And that how
life is you are busy imaging this is it , this is what you want and then GUSH!
Nevermind. I walked around the Prudential Centre, the Public Library, Fairmont
Hotel.
Now it was getting very cold and very windy, any sane person
would go take the train but since I don’t belong there I went to the bus stop
to get a bus, waited for 15 mins
contemplating, thinking about so many things. I would never get this time again
ii thought. It was beautiful. Just me and my self and the snow storm. My
thoughts were getting stormy too. I was having a really good time. The best
time maybe. This isn’t coming back. It was literally -14 and I was out in the
open waiting for my bus. There was no direct bus. I had to change two buses. Not a single shop/coffee shop was open. All
closed. But what the hell. I waited enjoyed every second of waiting. I made
peace with the Cold.
Noone dared to step out and I had a bloody good time. That’s
how I’d like to be.
